Review: Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation

Hey Guys! I owe you a massive apology after I have not wrote a post for almost two weeks, I have been majorly busy, but I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year, and if you're off work/school/college/uni, that you are enjoying your break, I sure am!
As you may have seen, my last post was on the Stay Matte Powder (review here), and I recently bought the foundation version, so I thought I'd let you know about my opinion of it.
It comes in a squeezy tube, which some people might be a fan of, but I'm not too keen on it. It's not the biggest problem in the world but it does mean it's harder to get the little bits out at the end of using a tube. The reason it is in a tube is probably because its is a mousse formulation.
When I bought it, I really didn't think I would like the fact it was a mousse. But I have grown to love it. It means that it is so much lighter on the skin, and it blends in amazingly. What I also love about the fact that it is a mousse is that you really do not need much to cover your face, and when it does cover your face, it does an amazing job.

When you apply it, it is a medium-high coverage, so it does definitely not create a sheer look. I love this as I like having a high coverage look, but if you do not, this may not be the foundation for you. It is also very good at stopping the oil in your face coming through, especially if you set it with the Stay Matte Powder, it can last for maybe 4-5 hours on my skin (without shine), which for me is really good. As you may be able to see in the image above it is very good and evening out skin tone, and I have freckles and red-patches across most of my face, and this foundation covers those up amazingly.

All in all, I do really like this foundation, and I would recommend it (especially for people with oily skin like myself), and for around £4-£5, it is a definite for me.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you found this review helpful.
