Review: Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder

Hey Guys! So this post is about one of my most used products at the moment: the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

I use this to set my foundation/concealer to help try and avoid my make-smudging and my skin becoming oily. This powder claims that it can do this for 5 hours, but to be perfectly honest this does not work for me, which is quite disappointing.

As I have said in previous posts I have very oily skin, and it is hard to find make-up that covers this well. The powder will be able to hide the shine for about 1-2 hours (which is better than other powders in fairness), but after that it starts to show through. To be fair though my skin is excessively oily and the powder is probably not designed to withhold my type of skin, but it is terribly irritating especially after all the great reviews I have read about it.

I think if you had normal/slightly oily skin it would be perfect, and it would last 5 hours. But, if you have skin like mine, do not get your hopes up when reading the product information on the back.

The packaging on the outside of this product is not the prettiest. This is most likely because it is off the high-street, but to me it is the product inside that matters most.
I do like however that on the actual product they have put the Rimmel London crown, I think it is such a nice touch.

This product retails at around £4 in Boots and Superdrug, which is an amazing price.

In conclusion, I do recommend this product, but it is best for people who have normal skin.

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!
